Completed a clinical nutrition internship at Infernetto Medica in Rome, where I developed individualized weekly nutrition plans for four patients with unique medical conditions and dietary needs. Beyond applying clinical nutrition principles, this experience deepened my understanding of how culture shapes healthcare practices and approaches to medicine. One of my favorite discoveries was seeing how differently common health concerns are addressed across countries. For example, while an American physician may commonly recommend an over-the-counter remedy like Tums for heartburn, an Italian physician might suggest lifestyle-based approaches, such as drinking warm lemon water in the morning.

Research Assistant /HTS
VANDERBILT UNIVERSITY, NASHVILLE, TN, May-August 2023, August 2025 – December 2025 (Part-time)
I returned to Dr. Joshua Bauer’s lab in the Assay Development and High-Throughput Screening (HTS) facility, where I first began research during high school. This experience allowed me to continue investigating ferroptosis pathways in Ewing sarcoma cancer cell lines by using automated imaging systems to evaluate how thousands of different compounds affect tumor cell behavior.
